SCORE Business Technology Program Online Training

The Business Technology Program (championed by at&t) was originally designed to provide SCORE volunteers with an overview of current technologies in order to better guide their clients.  However, the perspective of the narration in these videos has been changed to be appropriate for viewing directly by small business owners and managers. This two-hour webinar presents the narrated PowerPoint presentation in several modules detailing the features and benefits of myriad technology tools related to Websites, eMarketing, and Finance that can be self-studied at the viewers chosen pace to improve their awareness of the newer potential aids to their small businesses.  If you are a SCORE volunteer, you may find more details here.

Fly-over menus are provided that enable one to quickly obtain a more detailed overview of each video's content upon first viewing or to subsequently find and jump within the videos to specific topics of interest.  We have also included a pre- and post-training survey that is optional, but we hope that you can help us improve this training by providing us feedback.

Note: If you are using a touch-screen computer, the Table of Contents menus currently only work properly in IE and Opera browsers.  Enjoy!

Managing System Development 101 5-Star Amazon Testimonials:
The book "Managing Systems - Development 101" by James T. Karam is written with the engineer's perspective in mind, specifically targeted towards those technical types who find themselves advancing into positions requiring managerial and oversight responsibilities, in addition to their technical expertise.
As a specific technical type moving more into a managerial role myself, I found the book an easy read (being only 111 pages or so), but dense, in the sense that there are a lot of benchmark figures and information that are hard to assimilate in one simple reading. I'll be using this book as reference in the future.
Duane A. Kaufman, 2010
This is great outline of succinct take-home messages. The subject material is timeless, and as new systems evolve, the advice from this author will remain relevant.
Francha Barker, 2013
